Wonchi Adventure
Hiking down to Wonchi Crater Lake is both exhilarating and demanding, as the steep trail winds through dense forests, past bubbling streams, and across rocky paths. The crisp mountain air fills your lungs while the distant view of the shimmering lake below keeps you motivated. Along the way, locals on horseback pass by, offering rides for those who find the descent challenging. The deeper you go, the more you feel immersed in nature, with birds singing overhead and the scent of wildflowers filling the air. Reaching the lake’s edge is a rewarding moment, where the cool breeze and tranquil waters make the effort worthwhile. But the real challenge begins on the way back—an intense uphill climb that tests endurance yet offers stunning panoramic views that make every step feel like an achievement.
Mount Erer Adventure
My adventure to Mount Erer with my A2SV fellows, especially the G5 team, was an unforgettable experience. We started our early morning hike filled with excitement, navigating through lush greenery and rugged terrains. Reaching the summit, we felt a profound sense of accomplishment and unity, celebrating with group photos and reflections. This journey not only strengthened our bond but also deepened our appreciation for Ethiopia's natural beauty, reminding us of the importance of perseverance and teamwork.
